Privacy Policy

Foam Genius Network is run by Plant Powered Marketing LLC, doing business as Spray Foam Genius Marketing. This page explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and your choices. Version 2026-09-26.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, mobile phone number, and password (stored scrambled, never in plain text).
• Profile details: what you add to your worker profile or company page, such as positions, experience, equipment, certifications, availability, pay, location, photos, and your privacy settings.
• Certification proof: documents you upload. These are private. Only you and our team can open them.
• Company details: business phone and email, hiring contact, and the private hiring plans you choose to share with us.
• Messages and connections: conversations, connection requests, applications, reports, and blocks.
• Reviews: ratings and reviews you write or receive, and replies. Workers who review a company are shown by position, not name. Detailed category scores are only seen by our team.
• How you found us: the link or campaign that brought you (UTM tags), the outside page that sent you, and the first page you visited.
• Activity on the site: things like searches, profile and post views, requests, and applications, so we can see whether the network works and improve it.
• Terms acceptance: when you create an account, the date and the versions of the Terms of Use and this policy you agreed to.

We do not ask for Social Security numbers, Social Insurance Numbers, banking information, tax documents, passport numbers, driver's license details, or credit card numbers. Please don't put them in your profile, documents, or messages. If we add payments later, we will use an established payment processor and will not store card numbers ourselves.

Cookies

• Sign-in cookie: keeps you logged in.
• fgn_src: a first-party cookie that remembers how you arrived (as above) and a random visitor number, for up to 90 days. It is not shared with ad networks.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies from other companies.

Browser signals

We honor Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, although we don't sell or share personal information for advertising. We don't currently respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them.

Who sees what

• Your phone number and email are never shown on your profile, company page, or posts.
• Your profile is shown according to your privacy setting: Public, Members Only, Employers Only, or Confidential. Visitors who are not logged in see only a short preview.
• When you apply to a post, say you're interested, or accept a connection, that company or person can see your full profile, including your name, even if your profile is Confidential.
• Pay follows your pay setting: anyone, members only, or private.
• Private hiring plans and admin notes are never shown to other users.

Spray Foam Genius Marketing

Foam Genius Network is run by Spray Foam Genius Marketing, a marketing agency for spray foam and insulation contractors. When a company creates or updates its company page, we may use the company's business details (business name, contact name, business email and phone, location, size, and services) to contact the company about Spray Foam Genius Marketing's services where permitted by law. For companies located in Canada, we only do this if the company gives us permission.

You can opt out of these marketing contacts at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any marketing email, replying STOP to any marketing text, or submitting a request through our contact form. Opting out won't affect your use of Foam Genius Network.

Worker profiles are never used this way.

Service providers

We use a few companies to run the site. They only use your data to provide their service to us:

• Cloudflare: hosting, database, file storage, and the "are you human" check on forms.
• Resend: sending email.
• Twilio: sending phone verification codes.

Text messages

We use your mobile number to send verification codes.

Mobile numbers and text message opt-in information are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.

How we use it

• Run the network: show profiles and posts, match people, deliver messages and emails.
• Keep it safe: verify accounts, review profiles, handle reports, stop spam and fraud.
• Understand and improve it: count activity and where people come from.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

• Change your profile, privacy level, pay visibility, and email alerts at any time.
• Hide your profile, or delete your account in Settings. Deleting removes your name, contact details, photos, documents, profile, and posts. People you messaged keep the conversation, but you show as "Deleted account". We keep activity counts without your name.
• Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

Your privacy rights and requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how your personal information is used.

You can submit a request through our contact form (choose "Privacy or my data") or by email to privacy@foamgeniusnetwork.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. Some information may be retained where permitted or required by law.

If you live in Canada

You have rights under Canadian privacy law, including the right to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw your consent, subject to legal and contractual limits. Quebec residents also have the right to receive their information in a commonly used technological format.

If you're not satisfied with how we handle a request or complaint, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Foam Genius Network, provide requested services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, and enforce our agreements.

• Certification documents are deleted from our file storage as soon as you remove them or delete your account.
• Messages you sent remain visible to the people you sent them to, shown as "Deleted account."
• Backups of our database are overwritten on a rolling basis within 30 days.

When an account is deleted, certain information may remain temporarily in backups, security records, fraud-prevention records, legal records, or other systems where retention is reasonably necessary. Some activity may remain in anonymized or de-identified form after account deletion.

International data processing

Foam Genius Network is operated from the United States.

If you access Foam Genius Network from Canada or another jurisdiction, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other countries where Foam Genius Network or its service providers operate. Information processed in another country may be subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of that jurisdiction.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

These safeguards may include encrypted connections, password hashing, access controls, restricted document storage, and measures designed to limit unauthorized access. However, no online service, transmission method, or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting your password and account credentials.

If a security incident creates a risk of serious harm to you, we will notify you and any regulators as required by applicable law.

Children

Foam Genius Network is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Credits

ZIP and postal code data comes from GeoNames, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.

Changes

If we make a material change to this policy, we will tell you by email or on the site, and update the version and date at the top.
